I earned my BA degree in Mathematics and Linguistics from Bryn Mawr College before studying MA Psycholinguistics at the University of York. With 8+ years of independent tutoring experience across mathematics and English, working with students all over the US and the world, I am passionate about applying my skills in creative and academic writing and background in one-on-one mentoring to students in this highly individualized and empowering approach to the college application process. This background is further informed by my recent completion of the IECA Summer Institute and my IECA Associate Membership.
While studying both my Bachelors and Masters, I worked in the Residential Life departments, helping students transition socially and academically to university life. After finishing my degrees, I read over 1000 applications for UC Berkeley’s incoming first year class, getting an insider look at the UC admissions process. These, and my experiences in a community college (where I earned an AA in English as well as Social and Behavioral Sciences during high school), a small, liberal arts college, and a public research university give me a unique empathy and perspective on finding your college fit through our in-depth, personal conversations and guided activities to support you in identifying your values, motivations, and unique stories and experiences. I have coached students throughout all parts of the admissions process, from summer program searching to essay writing to admissions interviews and the final decision, and am excited to work with families at AT College Consulting to help guide them through the journey.
